Read to Feed…today we will hear more about the project our children have been working on this summer. You will be invited to donate to the work of Heifer Project during lunch today. The youth will be showing a video about the work of the Heifer Project in the world. Please give generously to this helpful and worthy project.

The Language of Silence is Spoken here… we are observing a 5 minute prayer for peace during worship today. This is a time to pray for peace in our world, our nation, our community, our church, our families and within ourselves. Silence is not easy but it is essential if we are going to hear from God. So we invite you to join our session in this experiment in silent prayer.

Prayers today… for Rachel Madema who is with her family this weekend as they celebrate the life of her grandfather at his memorial service. For Charles and Jenny moving Jenny back to UCLA for the new school year.

Rev Gao’s vacation… Rev Gao and Christina will be on vacation September 11-27 for a tour of China. Marilyn Stanley will be preaching today, Rev. Chen on September 23 and Rev Shadley will be preaching on September 30 with Rev. Gao translating for him. Rev Shadley will be on call along with other elders while Rev. Gao is away.
